Reclaim your sexual health. Restore your well-being. Revive your relationships.
Childbirth and the natural aging process cause changes which may affect feminine wellness. A particularly strenuous vaginal childbirth, multiple births, and the effects of menopause can cause physical changes which can rob women (and their partners) of their sense of well-being and happiness.
- Do you feel dry during intercourse?
- Do you have trouble reaching orgasm?
- Do you ever leak urine when you cough, sneeze or exercise?
- Have you felt ‘loose’ vaginally since childbirth and/or menopause?
- Have you ever not quite made it to the bathroom on time?
- Have your intimate relationships suffered due to vaginal changes?
- Are you experiencing a loss of self-confidence, interest in sex or lack of sexual desire due to changes in your feminine wellness?
Non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation may be the answer. Our office offers two treatment options: ThermiVa and Geneveve.
Excessive stretching of the vaginal muscles is a common occurrence after vaginal birth or due to aging. Damage can diminish sensation during sexual activity, reduce satisfaction and change the relationship between partners.
ThermiVa treatments use radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue to reclaim, restore and revive feminine wellness, without discomfort or downtime.
ThermiVa uses a special wand applicator which may be applied externally to the labia and vulvar tissues to restore normal tissue tone and function. The specially designed handpiece may also deliver radiofrequency energy inside the vagina to revive atrophic tissue and other structures.
What to expect
Patients receive three ThermiVa treatments, each spaced about a month apart. Each treatment is approximately 30 minutes. ThermiVa treatments are completely painless and require no anesthesia or pain management. There is no downtime following a ThermiVa treatment; patients may resume regular activities including sexual activity the same day as treatment. In many cases, patients seek 1-2 treatments per year in order to maintain results.
The importance of a Board Certified Gynecologist
It’s important to see a Board Certified Gynecologist who specializes in women’s pelvic health when considering this procedure. Vaginal restoration is complicated and the most appropriate clinician for women with any of these associated conditions is someone who is very familiar with female anatomy. Multiple conditions can exist at the same time in a woman’s pelvic zone and conditions not recognized by a dedicated women’s health care provider could be missed and result in major complications. As a Board Certified Gynecologist, Dr. Mirabile and his team of Nurse Practitioners are involved in the clearance of your vaginal rejuvenation treatment and evaluate every Mirabile M.D. patient considering vaginal rejuvenation. Although ThermiVa is a non-surgical procedure, there can be risks and it’s important that the patient’s vaginal health is thoroughly evaluated prior to her treatment.
